Covid-19 Policies
To comply with the CDC and our Governors requirements, things will look a little different for awhile. Our goal and commitment is to provide a safe, clean and comfortable space for everyone. The beauty industry has always been strongly regulated, so as always we will be following strict safety and sanitation guidelines. We will now be implementing even stronger policies to boost the safety and sanitation in the salon.
Please be Prepared:

Masks must be worn into the salon and throughout your entire service.

Please come alone to your appointment, as we are only allowed one guest per stylist at a time.

When you get to Gems please remain in your car, let us know you have arrived; we will send you a text when it is safe for you to come inside.

Hands must be sanitized when you come into the salon

Temperatures will be checked upon arrival. If your temperature is 100 or above, you will be asked to reschedule.

If you have been showing symptoms or been around anyone showing symptoms, we ask that you please reschedule your appointment for 14 days after symptom onset or exposure.
Behind the Scene

All stylists temperatures will be taken before each shift, any stylist with a temp of 100 or higher will not be allowed to work.

Extra time will be taken between appointments to fully sanitize all tools, equipment, chair and station.

A new cape and apron will be used for every guest.

All common areas will be disinfected after each use as well as hourly throughout the day.

We have all taken special training and been certified through Barbicide on proper Covid-19 sanitation and disinfection procedures.
