Meet the Team
I am the proud owner of Gems and a master stylist with over 19 years of experience behind the chair. For the last 15 years, I have created and cultivated Gems into the place you’ll want to come to feel beautiful, loved, safe, and relaxed. It is my mission for you to feel like you can leave your troubles at the door and it is my goal for you to feel confident and see your own beauty like I do.
I specialize in extensions and textured hair. I love playing around with styles and finding the colors that are perfect for each client.
Outside of work, I enjoy any time I can get with my family. My family has always been my biggest blessing. As the older sister of 3 brothers, it has been my duty to bring us all together for quality time. I also like to be creative at home with knitting, crafting, and decorating. I unwind with a nice glass of wine (ask me about Traveling Vineyards, link below... or just enjoy a complimentary tasting with your service), my dog Rhubarb Jane (redbone coonhound), and a good book. Last, but certainly not least, I enjoy giving back to our local community by raising money for our veterans and contributing to the youth in the Virgil community by being an active member in the youth commission.
I can't wait to meet you, treat you, and rock your locks!
I am 26 years old and grew up in a small town in the Finger Lakes. My joy and passion lie in helping people bring out their inner beauty and discover
a new side of themselves. Growing up closely with my sister, I would always practice on her and help prepare her for outings, events, and dates. Thanks
to the experience I garnered with her, I decided to pursue my passion and
go into cosmetology. It took some time to get to where I am today.
However, it was all worth the twists and turns. I am excited to continue learning and growing with you as a licensed hairstylist here at Gems and show you what I can bring to the table.
Hi, I’m Hannah,
I am 18 years old and fresh out of cosmetology school. I knew that I wanted to do hair in sixth grade when I would sit and watch my grandmother do my cousins hair for hours. From there I knew I wanted to be the one doing my cousins hair.
In sixth grade my teacher told me I could do a cosmetology program during high school. From there on the dream came true, I was able to finish the program at the same time I graduated high school.
I was able to start with the team at Gems shortly after graduating, allowing me to continue practicing & learning, until I took and passed my boards. I am now fully licensed and excited to help you love your hair!
